China AI Atlas is a public field guide to the people, labs, capital, and source trail behind China's AI ecosystem.
The project is designed for readers who need orientation more than spectacle: which labs matter, who built them, where researchers trained, how talent is moving, and what public evidence supports each claim.
What it covers
The atlas tracks China's foundation-model labs, key researchers and founders, lab profiles, talent pathways, financial signals, and a source log for claims that materially change the picture.
How to read it
This is an alpha research product, not a finished database. Public CVs, media reports, company disclosures, investor materials, and model releases are uneven. We use source notes and visible caveats to separate hard evidence from directional signals.
