JIAO Binxing (焦斌星) is a co-founder of StepFun and the company's data lead. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and was selected for the USTC-MSRA joint PhD program.
After completing his Ph.D., he joined Microsoft as the lead of the Bing core search team, responsible for using data mining and NLP algorithms to optimize indexing and search quality. He also developed automatic high-quality site mining algorithms used for site ranking and indexing.
