Profile
WANG Bingning (王炳宁) is an AI algorithm research lead for Tencent WeChat Search and a former Head of Pre-training at Baichuan AI. He earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where his dissertation won an outstanding dissertation award from the Chinese Information Processing Society of China.
Before Baichuan, he worked on search, recommendation, computational advertising, question answering, and large language models at Tencent and Sogou. His Baichuan-era work includes leadership on Baichuan pretraining and authorship on Baichuan-M1 medical LLM.
