YU Jiahui (余家辉) joined Meta Superintelligence Labs in 2025. He earned his B.S. from USTC Special Class for the Gifted Young and Ph.D. from UIUC.
He worked at Baidu, NVIDIA, and Google DeepMind (Gemini multimodal co-lead) before joining OpenAI in Oct 2023, where he led the Perception team and contributed to o3, o4-mini, GPT-4.1, and GPT-4o. At Meta, he leads multimedia content generation R&D.
