ZHOU Jingren (周靖人)

ZHOU Jingren (周靖人) is a senior technology executive at Alibaba Group. He joined Alibaba as Chief Scientist at its cloud unit and later served as CTO of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, overseeing the company's cloud and AI technology strategy.
In April 2026, Alibaba underwent a major reorganization: Zhou stepped down as CTO (replaced by Li Feifei) but was elevated to lead the newly upgraded Tongyi Large Model Business Division (通义大模型事业部), effectively becoming Alibaba's top executive for model development. He also serves as Chief AI Architect on Alibaba's Technology Committee.
Zhou holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University (2004) and previously served as a Partner-level Researcher at Microsoft. His career spans across cloud computing, algorithms, and business at Alibaba, making him a key cross-functional technology leader.
