Profile
ZHOU Xinyu (周昕宇) is a co-founder and head of algorithms at Moonshot AI, holding a 10% stake in the company. He was a classmate of Yang Zhilin and Zhang Yutao in Tsinghua University's Computer Science Department (Class of 2011 undergraduate).
In his senior year, he interned at Megvii and joined full-time after graduation, focusing on algorithm mass production. He co-authored the ShuffleNet paper (accepted by CVPR) with Zhang Xiangyu of Megvii Research as co-first authors.
ShuffleNet later influenced millisecond-level face unlock technologies including Apple's 3D Face Unlock. Zhou and Yang Zhilin were also bandmates in a rock band called Splay at Tsinghua.
