ZHU Wenjia (朱文佳) leads Doubao large-model applications at ByteDance. He joined ByteDance in 2015 from Baidu where he served as a search department architect.
He was recognized as one of the 'Top 3 algorithm talents' at Toutiao. In June 2019, he was promoted to head of Toutiao, and in February 2021, he became TikTok's product and technology lead, reporting to TikTok CEO Zhou Shouzi.
In 2023, he led the formation of ByteDance's large model team, focusing on language and image modalities. After Wu Yonghui joined in February 2025 as head of Seed foundational research, Zhu's reporting line was adjusted - he now reports to Wu Yonghui instead of directly to CEO Liang Rubo.
He is based in Singapore.
