Co-founder & CTO, StepFun

I think there is no such thing as a standard! Because everyone has a different story and a different perspective on things, so everyone has their own understanding. This is what I think is the most interesting thing about the movie.
I think it is my comfort zone when it comes to dance. In terms of performance, it will indeed be similar to my childhood experience. I may understand the dancers better and get into the role better, so it will be closer, but I think there is no easy role.
Because this type of dance is quite special, it is not danced while standing on the ground. There are many techniques in breaking. Although I know hip-hop very well, I cannot completely execute the technique part by myself, so I do have my own idea
ZHU Yibo (朱亦博) is the co-founder and CTO of StepFun (阶跃星辰). He obtained his Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara (UCSB), co-advised by Prof. Ben Y.
Zhao and Prof. Heather Zheng, and received his bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University. He is a recipient of the Microsoft Research Ph.D. Fellowship (2015).
His career spans Microsoft Research (where he pioneered RoCE technology for high-speed data transfer), ByteDance (where he built AI infrastructure from scratch, managing clusters of 10,000+ GPUs), and Google Cloud (where he led GPU product technology and supported Anthropic). At StepFun, he leads the AI Infrastructure team, which is treated as equally important as the algorithm team - a unique 'dual-engine' architecture among Chinese AI startups.
StepFun's B+ round raised over 5 billion RMB (~$690M+) in January 2026, setting a record for the largest single financing round in China's AI sector in the past 12 months.
